Our bioethanol burners are designed to meet the requirements of the Australian Consumer Goods (Decorative Alcohol Fuelled Devices) Safety Standard 2017, which applies to decorative alcohol-fuelled appliances supplied in Australia.
This Standard incorporates relevant safety principles referenced in EN 16647:2015, including stability.
Installation & Building Compliance
Bioethanol appliances are assessed under the National Construction Code’s general fire safety performance requirements. For built-in installations, approval and compliance with local building regulations are determined by the project’s builder and certifier.
